Meraldik started into his first breeding season in 2006 after having completed a convincing 30-day performance test in Neustadt/Dosse (8.48). Highlight of the year was the commanding victory at the Baden-Württemberg Riding Horse Championships in Tübingen.
In 2007, Meraldik qualified for the Federal Championships twice. He demonstrated his exceptional riding horse qualities in Warendorf: marvellous 3rd place in the final qualifier (8.7) and an excellent 8th place in the Final (8.2) of five-year-old dressage horses. He won many medium level dressage horse ability competitions in 2008 and constantly improved and developed his capabilities. In 2009, he already won advanced level dressage competitions.
His sire is top-class Trakehner stallion Münchhausen (breed value 163). He was double finalist at the Federal Championships, in 2001 Vice World Champion of six-year-old dressage horses in Verden and meanwhile successful up to Grand Prix (also competitor at the European Dressage Championships in Hagen in 2005).
Meraldik’s dam, thoroughbred mare Herka, is full sister to Heraldik xx, one of the most important thoroughbred stallions of the last decade. She is also dam to Meraldik’s stall neighbour Royaldik.
Meraldik is a top-class stallion as regards pedigree, quality of movements and rideability – you couldn’t wish for more.
Apart from his own fantastic development under the saddle, his highly awarded foals deserve to be mentioned, too. He presented the Champion mare at the Baden-Württemberg Mare Show in Weilheim and more highly awarded offspring in the division of two-year-old horses. We are looking forward to his first progeny under the saddle.
Approved for Oldenburg, Trakehnen and all South German breed societies.
